Greek households in Asset Markets

Researcher

Louiza Alexandra Bartzoka, Assistant Professor of Finance, Copenhagen Business School

About the researcher

Louiza holds a Ph.D. in Finance from Imperial College Business School and has worked in both academia and the financial industry, at JP Morgan Chase. Her research focuses on household finance, asset pricing, and macroeconomics.

Project Overview

This project explores why many Greek households do not invest in financial markets. The goal is to understand the barriers that keep households out of financial markets and to test how reducing information gaps could encourage more people to invest, helping them build financial security for the future.

Why It Matters

Low participation in financial markets can limit households’ ability to grow their savings and prepare for the future. By understanding these patterns and testing policy solutions, this research can help create better opportunities for households to manage their finances and improve financial security.
